SHIPPING POLICY
Effective Date: 2026
At Vimé & Co, we aim to deliver orders reliably and efficiently. This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, dispatched and delivered within South Africa.
This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Returns & Refunds Policy, Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy. Nothing in this policy limits any rights a consumer may have under applicable South African law.
1. SHIPPING AREAS
Vimé & Co currently delivers to addresses within South Africa.
International shipping is not currently offered unless specifically stated on the website or agreed in writing.
2. ORDER PROCESSING
Orders are generally processed after payment has been successfully received and confirmed through the applicable payment provider.
For in-stock items, our target processing period is typically 1–3 business days. Processing may take longer during public holidays, promotional campaigns, peak shopping periods, stock verification or other exceptional circumstances.
Orders are generally not processed on weekends or South African public holidays. Orders placed outside normal business hours may begin processing on the next business day.
3. ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES
After dispatch, estimated delivery times are:
- Major cities: approximately 2–5 business days.
- Regional areas: approximately 3–7 business days.
- Remote areas: approximately 5–10 business days.
These are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless Vimé & Co expressly agrees to a specific delivery date.
Where applicable law requires delivery within an agreed or reasonable period, those rights remain unaffected.
4. SHIPPING FEES
Shipping fees are calculated or displayed during checkout before payment is completed.
Charges may vary according to:
- Delivery location
- Parcel dimensions or weight
- Courier charges
- Promotional offers
Vimé & Co may offer free or discounted shipping promotions from time to time, subject to the terms stated for the relevant promotion.
5. ORDER CONFIRMATION
After an order is submitted, the customer should receive an order confirmation electronically.
An automated confirmation records that the order has been received and does not prevent Vimé & Co from contacting the customer if stock, payment, pricing or fulfilment issues arise. “Complimentary standard shipping is available on qualifying South African orders over R1,500.”
6. DISPATCH AND TRACKING
Once an order has been dispatched, Vimé & Co will provide tracking information where the courier service supports tracking.
Customers are encouraged to monitor tracking information and contact us if there is an apparent delivery problem.
7. DELIVERY ADDRESS
Customers must provide accurate and sufficiently complete delivery information, including:
- Street address
- Suburb
- Postal code
- Recipient contact details
- Necessary delivery instructions
If incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer causes a failed delivery or additional courier charge, Vimé & Co may recover reasonable additional delivery costs where permitted by law.
We will not use this provision to avoid responsibility for an error caused by Vimé & Co or its service providers.
8. FAILED DELIVERY ATTEMPTS
If delivery cannot be completed because the recipient is unavailable, the address is incorrect or incomplete, or delivery is refused without a lawful basis, the courier may attempt redelivery or return the parcel to Vimé & Co.
Reasonable additional courier charges arising from customer-supplied incorrect information or avoidable failed delivery may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.
9. RECEIPT AND PROOF OF DELIVERY
Courier services may require a signature, one-time PIN, photograph, electronic acknowledgement or another form of proof of delivery.
Where delivery is accepted by a person reasonably authorised to receive the parcel at the nominated delivery address, the courier’s delivery record may be used as evidence that delivery occurred.
This does not remove any statutory rights relating to missing, damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied goods.
10. OWNERSHIP AND RISK
Ownership of goods remains with Vimé & Co until payment has been received in full, subject to applicable law.
Goods remain at Vimé & Co’s risk until they have been delivered to and accepted by the consumer as contemplated by applicable South African consumer law.
We do not treat the mere dispatch of a parcel to a courier as transferring transit risk to the customer.
11. LOST, DELAYED OR MISSING PARCELS
If an order appears to be materially delayed, lost or incorrectly delivered, please contact us at:
Vimé & Co will investigate the matter with the courier and take reasonable steps to resolve it.
Courier investigation procedures may affect the time required to complete an investigation, but they do not remove any rights or remedies available to the customer under applicable law.
12. DAMAGED PARCELS
If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, customers should, where reasonably possible:
- Photograph the packaging.
- Photograph the affected products.
- Contact Vimé & Co promptly.
We encourage notification within 48 hours because prompt reporting assists courier investigations.
However, this requested reporting period does not limit any longer statutory right the customer may have in relation to defective, unsafe, damaged or non-compliant goods.
13. PRE-ORDERS
Where products are sold on a pre-order basis, the expected availability or dispatch period should be stated on the relevant product page or communicated to the customer.
Pre-order dates are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise.
If a material delay occurs, Vimé & Co will communicate with affected customers where reasonably possible and provide any remedies required by applicable law.
14. PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND PEAK PERIODS
Processing and delivery may take longer during:
- Black Friday
- Festive periods
- Public holidays
- Major promotions
- Other periods of unusually high demand
Updated delivery information may be published on the website where appropriate.
15. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
Delivery may be affected by events outside Vimé & Co’s reasonable control, including severe weather, flooding, fire, civil unrest, strikes, load shedding, infrastructure failures, courier disruptions, governmental measures or widespread network outages.
Where such an event occurs, Vimé & Co will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and communicate material delays.
This clause does not exclude or restrict consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. UNAVAILABLE GOODS AND DELIVERY OBLIGATIONS
If Vimé & Co is unable to supply goods that have been ordered, we will notify the customer and provide the refund or other remedy required by applicable law.
Where an agreed delivery date, time or place applies, Vimé & Co will endeavour to perform in accordance with that agreement.
Any statutory rights arising from failure to deliver as agreed remain unaffected.
17. ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Customers should request cancellation as soon as possible.
Whether an order can be cancelled before dispatch and whether any cancellation charge may lawfully apply will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
Dispatch does not automatically remove a consumer’s statutory cooling-off, return, refund or cancellation rights.
Please refer to our Cancellation Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy for further information.
